Graham Thorne came to South Africa from the U.K. in 1967 having been involved in RC concrete construction prior to his introduction to the pool industry in 1968.

During his initial involvement with Pride Pools his design and creative ability saw the introduction of what is now a norm in the industry namely spillway, flushdeck and charcoal pools as well as the Kooldek finishes which he introduced from America.

His creative outlook resulted in the introduction of GRC and positive rock scaping both locally and internationally. He was the founder member of Rockworld in Cape Town and the recipient of numerous Gold awards in the pool industry, whilst Paul his partner and son entered the swimming pool industry in 1983 and brings 25 years of both creative and quality expertise with his hands on approach to every project. He has also been the recipient of many awards including an International award from USA.

Our claim "THERE IS NOTHING LIKE EXPERIENCE" is supported by over 60 years in the swimming pool industry and our recognition has resulted in being the chosen company for many local and international landmark projects.

ALLIANCES
Pride Pools International has built up a number of successful alliances over the years. In collaboration with our alliance partners we endeavour to fulfil all requirements of a project taking it from inception to completion.

COLLABORATION
It has been our experience that a collaborative approach with the incumbent architect or building contractor from the start of a project clears the way for open and transparent communication and sets the platform for a successful project. We are fortunate to have worked with most of the Architects and building contactors locally.

Our portfolio includes Rim-Flow (flush deck), Spillway and Beach Effect Pools with many of our projects featuring artificial rock in both G.R.C. and positive construction. Some of our more prestigious projects are listed in our 'Projects' section.
